Poor result in latest pre-season friendly
Saturday afternoon saw the team travel west to Porthmadog for their 4th friendly of the season.
From the off Port took command of the match and were two goals to the good in the first 10 minutes. They added a third by the half hour before Bala had really got going. However two headers (Mike Byron & Conall Murtagh) in the minutes before half-time gave the Lakesiders a foothold back in the match. 3-2 at half-time.
On the hour Port went further ahead when Darren Thomas squirmed clear of his marker and a 5th was conceded by Bala late on to give Porthmadog a comprehensive and well-deserved win.
