- Biography
- Another returning Lakesider is Mark Connolly who spent from January 2011 until the summer period here on loan from Chester. He began his playing career at Mallaby before joining Bangor City in January 2004 and then Rhyl in 2005-06. He was part of the Rhyl team that won the league in 2008-09 making 35 appearances and scoring 23 goals for them. Last season, when Mark was with Bala he scored 4 goals, 2 of which were outstanding free kicks against Aberystwyth Town. Interestingly, he turned down other offers from 3 Welsh Premier sides this summer to re-join the Lakesiders, mainly due to the fact that he enjoyed his spell with us so much last season.
