Bala Town Reserves Joint Manager Adam Galdo Steps Down.

In a statement posted by Adam Galdo on his Twitter page on the 21st of October, he said the following;

It is with a heavy heart I have stepped down as joint manager of Bala Town Reserves today. I want to thank all the players that have contributed to making it an enjoyable time as I experienced my first role in management. Starting a team from scratch really is not an easy thing to do, especially with being so inexperienced at the time. I feel like I have gained valuable experience and take pride in having been a part of starting something special for the community here in Bala. It was great being part of such an established club and I would like to express my sincere thanks to Nigel, Ruth, and the others who have helped me along the way, including members of the club who have been a big help from the start. Lastly, I want to thank Daf and Al for all the work they have put in since starting this too. It was an absolute pleasure doing it with you. I am going to carry on with my C license as I am over half way through now and hopefully one day, I will return to football. During the current climate with Coronavirus and the Welsh FA being an absolute embarrassment in regards to grassroots football in Wales, my love for the game is at an all time low! I wish the club all the very best and will continue to support when I can. Diolch”

The Club totally respect Adam’s decision due to the current climate, and know how hard of a decision it was to make. Everyone involved with the Club would like to thank Adam for his hard work and dedication to the club during his time as joint manager, and would like to send our best wishes to him for the future.

However, after discussions with manager Daf, Adam will sign for the club as a player for the forthcoming season, whenever that may be. Manager Daf has said Adam is a big signing for the club in terms of quality, experience and leadership and is happy to keep him on board in another manner.

The Reserves will now be lead by Daf Hughes and Alan Roberts, with friendlies scheduled for the 11th and 13th of November, following the completion of the two week lockdown in Wales imposed by the Welsh Government just short of two weeks ago.
