Bala Town are delighted to announce the new signing of Ryan Pryce!
The 23 year old came to the end of his contract at Cardiff City this past summer having signed for the Championship club having impressed the Bluebirds after impressing during his time at The New Saints and a loan spell at Cefn Druids.
He impressed a number of Premier League clubs during the Jamie Vardy V9 Academy Trials, which gives non-league players a chance to move into a professional.
Pryce was a regular in the U23’s squad at Cardiff City and brought attention to himself from several Football League sides.
HITC Sport reported that during his time at Cardiff City, clubs such as Hull, Portsmouth and Fleetword were considering signing the defender.
Pryce will be available for selection for tomorrow’s Cymru Premier fixture away to Newtown.
He will wear the number 23 shirt for the club.
On signing for the club, Ryan said this about the club;
“It’s a good club that do things the right way and seem to be getting stronger each year. Hopefully we can be in and around it and challenging”
His new manager, Colin Caton had this to say about his new acquisition;
“I’ve always been a big admirer of Ryan when he was at TNS, he can play in a number of positions, he can play anywhere across the back, and he can play anywhere across the front line as well in wide areas. So it’s great to have him onboard, as we’ve got a couple injuries at the moment, so he’ll add good strength to us, but not just in terms of numbers for some of the lads that are struggling at the minute, with the big push of games in terms of mid-week and weekend games that have taken its toll on the lads, so Ryan will give us fresh legs when he has an opportunity to play for us. During his time at TNS I was a big admirer of him, he had great quality, and travels really well with the ball and he’s got great quality in and around the final third, he can play as fullback or wide in a front three, or as an attacking midfield player, and he’s a top lad as well. He was released by Cardiff City, obviously he’s been trying to get into the pro game but nothing has materialised, so he’s waited until the transfer window and we’re lucky he’s agreed to join us really, so I’m really looking forward to working with him, and he’ll be a great addition into the squad”
