World Heart Day 2020 – USE ♥

This year Bala Town Football Club is supporting World Heart Day, the world’s biggest platform for raising awareness of cardiovascular disease, which includes heart disease and stroke.

Run by the World Heart Federation, and supported by both UEFA and their associate partner for health and wellbeing Healthy Stadia, World Heart Day takes place on 29 September every year and aims to encourage individuals, communities and businesses, including football organisations, to help protect our hearts and improve our quality of life.

This year’s campaign has special significance due to ongoing efforts to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic around the world. Research has identified links between underlying health conditions,
such as heart disease and stroke, and worse health outcomes associated with coronavirus making it vitally important that we all protect our hearts.

Physical inactivity, poor diet and smoking tobacco products are all associated with increased severity of disease in COVID-19 patients. However, through simple changes to our lifestyles, we can all work towards lowering the burden of heart disease and stroke and reduce the likelihood of poor outcomes associated with coronavirus.

This year Bala Town Football Club is asking all football fans across Europe to USE ♥ to:
 take more exercise more often
 eat a balanced diet including at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day
 stop smoking and support others to kick the habit

This World Heart Day, Bala Town Football Club also welcomes the launch of the Smokefree Sports initiative. A decision to ban smoking on the side lines of all small-sided football games in Wales.
The historic move by FAW and FAW Trust following a campaign by Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) Wales, is aimed at de-normalising smoking in the eyes of children and will apply to all training sessions and games played by Bala Town Football Club.

By making small changes to our lifestyles and the places where we live, work, and play we can strengthen our hearts to help tackle coronavirus and improve our own health and the health of our
communities.

Diwrnod Calon y Byd 2020 – DEFNYDDIWCH ♥

Eleni, mae Clwb Pel-Droed Tref Y Bala yn cefnogi Diwrnod Calon y Byd, llwyfan mwyaf y byd ar gyfer codi ymwybyddiaeth o glefyd cardiofasgwlaidd, sy’n cynnwys clefyd y galon a strôc. Caiff Diwrnod Calon y Byd ei gynnal gan Ffederasiwn Calon y Byd, a’i gefnogi gan UEFA a’i bartner cysylltiedig ar gyfer iechyd a lles, Healthy Stadia. Mae Diwrnod Calon y Byd yn digwydd ar 29 Medi
bob blwyddyn a’r nod yw annog unigolion, cymunedau a busnesau, gan gynnwys sefydliadau pêl-droed, i helpu i ddiogelu ein calonnau a gwella ansawdd ein bywydau.

Eleni, mae’r ymgyrch yn arbennig o arwyddocaol oherwydd yr ymdrechion parhaus i fynd i’r afael â phandemig COVID-19 ar hyd a lled y byd. Mae ymchwil wedi nodi cysylltiadau rhwng cyflyrau iechyd sy’n bodoli eisoes, fel clefyd y galon a strôc, a gwaeth canlyniadau iechyd oherwydd y coronafeirws, gan olygu ei bod hi’n hollbwysig bod pob un ohonom ni’n diogelu ein calonnau.

Mae anweithgarwch corfforol, deiet gwael ac ysmygu tybaco oll yn gallu golygu bod y clefyd yn fwy difrifol mewn cleifion COVID-19. Fodd bynnag, trwy gyflwyno newidiadau syml i’n ffordd o fyw,
gallwn ni oll weithio tuag at leihau baich clefyd y galon a strôc, a lleihau pa mor debygol yw canlyniadau gwael sy’n gysylltiedig â’r coronafeirws.

Eleni mae Clwb Pel-Droed Tref Y Bala yn gofyn i bob cefnogwr pêl-droed ar draws Ewrop i DDEFNYDDIO ♥ i:
 wneud ymarfer corf yn amlach
 bwyta deiet cytbwys sy’n cynnwys o leiaf pum dogn o ffrwythau a llysiau bob dydd
 rhoi’r gorau i ysmygu a chefnogi eraill i wneud yr un peth

Ar Ddiwrnod Calon y Byd eleni, mae Clwb Pel-Droed Tref Y Bala hefyd yn croesawu lansiad y fenter Chwaraeon Di-Fwg, sef penderfyniad i wahardd ysmygu ar linellau ochr pob gêm bêl-droed ar raddfa fach yng Nghymru. Nod y penderfyniad hanesyddol gan Gymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru (CBDC) ac Ymddiriedoaleth CBDC, yn dilyn ymgyrch gan ASH Cymru (Action on Smoking and Health Wales), yw dad-normaleiddio ysmygu i blant, a bydd yn berthnasol i bob sesiwn a gêm y mae Clwb Pel-Droed Tref Y Bala yn eu chwarae.

Drwy wneud newidiadau bychain i’n ffordd o fyw a lle’r ydym ni’n byw, yn gweithio ac yn chwarae, gallwn ni gryfhau ein calonnau er mwyn helpu i drechu’r coronafeirws a gwella ein hiechyd ein
hunain ac iechyd ein cymunedau.
