Bala Town can announce that Stuart Jones will be leaving the Lakesiders.
Stuart who was the longest serving Lakesider spent nine fantastic years at Maes Tegid and is one of the Club’s most decorated players with numerous Europa League appearances, a Welsh Cup Final winners medal and was instrumental in Town’s Europa Playoff Final v Port Talbot Town in 2013.
The stalwart made 250 (+9) appearances in all competitions with 19 goals scored including a briliant seven match goalscoring run leading to Town’s first European adventure.
Firmly a fans favourite at the Club and his no-nonsense defending will be missed by many at Maes Tegid.
Colin Caton wanted to wish Stuart all the best;
“I’m sad that Stu’s time with us has come to an end and I wish him all the best. He’s the last member of the Port Talbot Playoff Final squad that’s been with us. Stuart’s been a great servant to the Club – his attitude, his approach, determination, everything what he’s given us has been fantastic.”
He continued “I can’t thank him enough for his desire and his workrate that he’s given to Bala Town over the years. He’s such a good lad and one of the lads I’ll keep in touch with. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him and we wish him well on his next part of his career. He’s been with us 9 seasons so I hope it goes well for him on his next move and thank him for everything that he’s done.”
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Stuart for his loyalty and efforts and wish him all the best for the future.
