Bala Town can confirm that striker Mike Hayes has left the Club to join Caernarfon Town.

Hayes spent 6 seasons with the Lakesiders over two spells with over 150 appearances in all competitions and 44 goals to his name during his time at Maes Tegid.

Very much a fan favourite at Maes Tegid, Hayesy featured in six European matches for the Lakesiders and scored some memorable goals such as his Goal of the Year contender v Aberystwyth in 2018/19.

Manager Colin Caton thanked Mike with this message;

“After a long chat with Mike and his frustration of not playing first team football on a regular for us, we decided that it was best that Mike moved on to gain first team football and to play on a regular basis elsewhere. We wish him all the best on his move to Caernarfon and hope it works out for him. He’s been an absolute top player for the Club and a great lad that’s conducted himself fantastically in the time he’s been at Bala and we wish him all the best at Caernarfon.”

Everyone at the Club would like to thank Mike for his services during his six years with us and wish him the very best for the future.
