Bala Town are delighted to unveil Oliver Shannon as their second signing of the winter transfer window.

24 year old midfielder Oliver has today put pen to paper with the Lakesiders.

An Everton youth product who won the 2013-14 Youth Premier League title, Shannon made the decision to try his trade at football in the USA after his release from the Toffees, joining Clemson University in South Carolina.

Spending four years at Clemson, he was co-captain for two years with 13 goals in 82 appearances to his name.

He was then signed by Atlanta United in the SuperDraft in February 2018 playing in the MLS making 27 appearances and scoring once.

Manager Colin Caton said “Ollie is a talented player who will add strength and depth to our midfield. I tried to sign him in the summer but he chose to go a different direction with his work career and is now available to play regularly, knuckle down and fight for a place. He will add to our midfield options.”

Oliver will wear the number 23 shirt. Welcome to Maes Tegid Ollie!
