JD Welsh Cup action coming up on Saturday!

Saturday sees the return of the JD Welsh Cup with Town making the trip to Flint Town United for the second year in succession.

Last years 3rd Round tie saw the Lakesiders making two visits to Cae y Castell due to floodlight failure in the first match but on the second attempt, Bala were 3-0 winners with goals from Steve Tames, Chris Venables and Mike Hayes.

Currently second in the Cymru North, Flint are having a cracking season and have won 12 out of their 16 games and have 38 points to date.

A 1-0 win over Rhyl last Friday has prepared Niall McGuinness’ men for a challenging Cup tie this weekend which Town must not underestimate.

The Lakesiders were in Carmarthen last Saturday and were 3-0 winners thanks to Louis Robles’ header and Henry Jones’ brace. With a superb run of form that has seen 8 wins in their last 10 league games, the Bala squad are riding high on confidence as we approach a crucial part of the season.

With the squad coming through unscathed on Saturday, Bala have no injury doubts.
