Saturday sees the second of back to back away games for the Lakesiders.
Town head to Latham Park on Saturday afternoon for matchday six with Bala eager to continue their great start to the JD Cymru Premier season.
Chris Hughes’ side have lost their two last games against Cardiff Met and The New Saints which was played on Tuesday evening due to TNS’ participation during the weekend in the Tunnock’s Wafer Challenge Cup.
The Robins have new players in their squad in the form of Sean MacAllister, Alun Morris, Jack Thorn, Lifumpa Mwandwe, Jack Kelly and former Lakesiders Lewis Short and Ian Sheridan.
Last Saturday saw the Lakesiders win 6-1 away at Penybont with striker Chris Venables now leading in the Cymru Premier goalscoring charts with 6 goals to his name this season.
Manager Colin Caton has praised his Town squad this week whilst speaking to the Denbighshire Free Press and was complimentary of the new squad additions.
“They’ve all gelled really well with the players that were already here.
“Four or five of them have been regularly involved in our starting eleven during our first six fixtures and you can see that they have added some positivity.”
Caton also knows the challenge ahead of the Lakesiders this weekend.
“Any team can beat any team on their day, especially in this division. Newtown have caused us problems in the past and it’s always a good tactical battle against them.
“We know that it will be a tough game in which we’re going to have to scrap and fight for the win.”
The Lakesiders have no fresh injury worries after last weekend’s trip to Penybont. Goalkeeper Josh Tibbetts is nearing a return for Town.
