First team call up for 3 reserve team members!

Congratulations to Jack Jarvis, Steve Jones and Cai Aykroyd who have all been called up to the first team for their game on Saturday, as they host Rushall Olympic at Maes Tegid.

All 3 local lads have featured for the reserves during their pre-season campaign, with all 3 making a big impact to have been called up for the upcoming first team fixture.

Throughout the reserves’ pre-season campaign, Cai Aykroyd has managed to bag him self 2 goals in 4 appearances, while Steve Jones and Jack Jarvis have both made massive impacts during the matches they’ve featured in.

Reserves Head Coach Adam Galdo gave a quick interview about 3 of his players being called up. Galdo was asked how happy he was to see 3 of his reserve team players getting the call up, he answered by saying:

‘Absolutely delighted for the lads. They fully deserve their chance and I hope they enjoy the experience. The lads have been working hard during the pre-season campaign we had in place, and that goes for the whole squad. We have a great team spirit already and we are all in this together’

Galdo was also asked, how does he think the experience will impact the 3 lads and the whole squad going into the reserves league season, his reponse was:
‘Having a chance to experience what it is like being around a Cymru League setup. Quality management and players, we are all looking forward to hearing about it and it will have a positive impact on the whole squad going into the new season’

Galdo also added: ‘I want to thank Colin, it is a nic touch by him. We had a chat when I took over and he said there is a pathway through the reserves to the first team for local talent. The hard work on the training ground and the lads’ commitment to the club is paying off. I want to mention the rest of the squad too as without them, their teammates would not have had this opportunity, well in lads!

Pob lwc i’r 3 ohonyn nhw! / Good luck to the 3 of them!

The 3 players selected will feature in the match day squad against Rushall Olympic at Maes Tegid with K.O set for 3PM, come down to support the lads!
