It might be Eurovision weekend but it’s another type of European competition that’s in sight on Sunday.

Town take on Cardiff Met on Sunday afternoon in the WPL European Playoff Final with both clubs only 90 minutes from a Europa League spot.

Met come into the game as the Club who finished 7th in the table and earned themselves a 3-2 win away at Caernarfon Town at The Oval last Saturday.

Meanwhile it was Friday night action for the Lakesiders who won 2-1 away at Newtown with an excellent display to boot by Town.

Stats have shows that in previous Finals that six of the eight finals have been won by the home side and that the only team from the bottom six to ever win the Playoffs were Bala Town back in 2012/13.

But as we know, the form book and all the stats can be thrown out of the window as we head for this one off fixture between two competitive teams that have had a win each in the League this season when they have met.

Town have no fresh injury doubts after last weekend and go into the game at full strength.

We would like to see as many Town supporters as possible at Maes Tegid to cheer on the lads for the last time this season! Bring a mate and lets double the gate!

Kickoff – 5.15p.m. The game is also being shown live on S4C’s Sgorio programme from 5.00p.m.

Match sponsor on Sunday is Ifan Edwards. Ifan and his wife Gwenda have been supporting the Lakesiders over the last couple of seasons, travelling all over the country, home and away with the Club. Ifan works away in the week but has become a valueable member of our committee and we are incredibly grateful for him and Gwenda’s generosity and support. Diolch i chi’ch dau am eich cefnogaeth!

Ball sponsor is Emma, Theresa and Brian Whitehouse from Tamworth. Emma and her parents have adopted the Lakesiders as their second Club and we’d like to thank them once again for their loyal support.
