Lakesiders let 2-0 lead slip to slump to second defeat in a week.
Town welcomed Europa League hopefuls Barry Town United on a glorious afternoon to Maes Tegid, but the final outcome was far from glorious for the Lakesiders.
It was quite a slow start to proceedings with both teams plenty of the ball but not creating anything of note in the early stages.
Barry fired over the crossbar in their first attempt on goal before down the other end Cooper cleared Hayes’ effort off the goal line.
As the half grew, the chances started to come with Cotterill firing inches wide from the edge of the box before Sean Smith let fly from 20 yards for Town.
Venables and Jones combined on the left allowing a cross to arrive to Seargeant but he blazed over prior to Henry Jones seeing his close range shot pushed away before the interval.
Bala began the second half brilliantly and seven minutes in, Chris Venables broke the deadlock when a cross came into the area and the Town captain headed home for his 9th league goal of the campaign.
Town were applying plenty of pressure and the second goal came two minutes later when a spell of pressure saw the ball arrived to Kieran Smith who drove low into the net from around ten yards out.
It could’ve been three when Sean Smith blasted over the crossbar from the edge of the D.
However, things took a turn for the worst with a crazy six minute spell that saw Jordan Cotterill, Kayne McLaggon and Momodou Touray scored three quick fire goals.
As much as they tried to get back into the game, Bala just couldn’t get back into it and their afternoon went from bad to worse when McLaggon and then Drew Fahiya wrapped up another two goals for the visitors and also their place in the Europa League this summer.
Plenty to work on for the Lakesiders ahead of next week’s home fixture against Connah’s Quay.
