Bala Town U11’s took on Porthmadog on Sunday morning
Porthmadog were the visitors to Maes Tegid yesterday morning while the conditions were cold and blustery the rain held off and the boys put on a decent performance.
This was a good opportunity to work on our shape and movement from our front two and could we get our full backs more involved as an attacking threat. While we were slow to get our passing game going we were in control and took a deserved lead with Ffranc finishing well. Porthmadog came back in to the game following a 5 minute period where we we very sloppy and got punished for it. This kick started us and we then produced some great one/two touch football, we scored a wonderful goal Ows seeing the switch on to Iolo who passed to Llŷr who combined with Dafydd to score with a first touch finish.
Iestyn came on instead of Owen P in midfield and we were better balanced with him and Deio dropping in to cover our fullbacks who were encouraged to go forward. The front three were combining well Dafydd on to Ffranc and another quality first time finish by Llŷr. We scored a fantastic team goal starting from our goalkeeper two touch football all the way Ffranc tapping in at the far post.
The quality didn’t drop we kept punching forward, while keeping our positional discipline. Scored two quick fire goals from Dafydd and Ffranc getting his hat trick. Impressive performance from Huw with out having much to do again showing such coolness in possession with Dafydd and Owen P combining well in midfield, and both strikers getting in amongst the goals.
