Football is a funny old game.

There’s a feel of pre-season for the Lakesiders who finally return to Welsh Premier League action on Friday evening after 6 weeks of no League fixtures.

Snow, floodlight failure and the Irn Bru Cup has meant that Bala haven’t begun on their second half of the season and are three matches behind many of the other teams in the Top 6.

Chris Hughes’ Newtown side were 3-2 winners last weekend against Caernarfon and currently sit 4th in the table. New additions in the transfer window saw Sam Barnes, Matty Williams, George Hughes and Porya Ahmadi all put pen to paper with the Robins.

Anthony Stephens, Keighan Jones and Shaun Kelly are ready to be named in the Town squad with Josh Williams missing out due to suspension. Rob Pearson is also nearing a return from injury.

Kickoff 7.45p.m. After six weeks of no league football , get yourselves down to Maes Tegid to back the boys!
