Excellent win for the Lakesiders at Crewe Alexandra.

First Quarter
We started way off the pace and lacked concentration conceded goals in the first ten mins. Probably not helped by half the team going to the wrong location and having very limited time to warm up! We were also really quiet and no communication between the lads.

Second quarter
We were much more tighter and compact between our lines with our high press starting to stop them playing out from back. Our midfield line worked really hard in getting back when we lost possession and we started to show more energy and desire with Elis scoring the first for Bala.

Third quarter
Our physicality and desire to win the ball back showed as Crewe were struggling to get going. Finally we managed to get our passing game going with some nice moves. We dominated possession but couldn’t find the net. With a bit more composure we could have added to Steff’s goal. Jac in goal came off his line twice and pulled off some cracking saves as we forced Crewe to play on the counter attack.

Fourth quarter
This was our best period as we just pressed Crewe in so they had to start playing long to gain territory. Again Jac saved us coming off his line twice to clear when they were through. We played some lovely passing football down the wings and our intensity was immense. Elis, Steff scoring their second each and Cion getting on the score sheet too.

An excellent overall performance and our desire and hunger when out of possession won us the game.
