Bala Town are extremely proud to announce that a former player from the Academy will be representing Wales next week.

Patrick Jones was part of the Academy until 2017 when he was signed by Wrexham after catching their attention in the Under 15’s Cymru Cup.

He was very successful in his time at Maes Tegid as he was called up to the North Wales Regional Squad and was Academy Player of the Year Runner up in 2017.

The Victory Shield is an annual tournament competed for by the Under 16 teams of Scotland, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Wales won the trophy in 2015 with players such as Ben Woodburn, Ethan Ampadu and Tyler Roberts in that squad. Well known names such as Harry Wilson, Aaron Ramsey and Chris Gunter have all played in the competition.

The squad will travel to Tralee in County Kerry for the 5 day tournament from Monday, 12th November until Friday, 16th November.

We wish Patrick and the Wales boys all the best for the competition. We are all very proud of you Pat!
