Bala Town F.C. are delighted to announce that our next CICS Cymru project kicks off on Monday, 14th May.
In partnership with Gwynedd Council, we will be providing disability football in Dolgellau leisure centre on Monday nights, starting on Monday 14th. The session is open to all ranges of disabilities with more details about the session and how you can get involved being announced next week.
This is in additional to our partnership with Coleg Merion Dwyfor to deliver football sessions for Independent Living Skills (ILS) and Pre Vocational students at Coleg Merion Dwyfor. Our aim is to promote disability football catered for students currently studying at the Coleg and providing playing opportunities for all students within the Coleg. It will also give other students currently studying at the Coleg the opportunity to be involved with the Football Club.
Dolgellau will be our 2nd community hub and will be used as a base for disability football for the local area along with our 3G facility in Bala.
Andy Kelly, Bala Town Community Officer said;
“It is a fantastic opportunity we have to support Coleg Merion Dwyfor and Gwynedd Council with Disability Football through our CICS Cymru project. There are so many opportunities we have to grow disability football in the area and after speaking with the Coleg and the council, its great to see how excited they are for the plans we have.
Whether it is just for fun, within a competitive environment or looking for representative honours, we hope to provide people with the best opportunities and the best football experience possible.”
