Bala Town are delighted that the Llyn and Eifionydd League have agreed to use our 3G facility to play their league games, starting this week.

With a large number of league games being postponed each week in the area, this will allow the league to ensure local players are enjoying regular football on a Saturday on a state of the art pitch. The new partnership will see a number of clubs play their league fixtures at Maes Tegid once a month starting with the under 10’s category this Saturday.

On Monday night, Dolgellau and Blaenau Under 14’s played a League game at Maes Tegid for the 1st time and we look forward to welcoming 29 teams who have agreed to use the facility over the winter period to Maes Tegid.

“Its fantastic that we can offer local Junior clubs the opportunity to play at Maes Tegid and to be able to play on a 3G pitch. We want to help improve the league and work with the league and this is the 1st step towards that. We will see teams from Dolgellau, Blaenau, Barmouth, Trawsfynydd, Penrhyndeudraeth, Tywyn, Porthmadog play at Maes Tegid and its another step towards more local clubs and players benefit from using the pitch” said Community Officer Andy Kelly.

“This new partnership with a major grass roots League Association again emphasises the huge benefits of the 3G facility at Maes Tegid. The youth of such a large surrounding area to Bala will benefit from being able to develop their skills on such a state of the art facility. We are delighted that this Junior League, Junior Clubs and parents have seen the significant benefits of using the facility with regard to the development of young footballers. This is brilliant news for all concerned” Chief Executive Nigel Aykroyd added.
