Bala Town are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Hyuga Tanner.

Tanner joins the Lakesiders as a free agent following his release from Bolton Wanderers over the summer.

The central midfielder moved from Australia when he was 14 when he was picked up by Blackburn Rovers’ Academy.

Now 20 years old, he has represented Australia at youth level and has been training with the Lakesiders for several weeks, putting pen to paper this week.

Manager Colin Caton commented;

“Hyuga has been training with us for 10 weeks and has been very impressive. He’s recently returned from a trial in the J League in Japan too. He is looking to get back into the full time game and we hope we can help him to do that. Tanner is a central midfielder and a very good addition for us.”

Hyuga will wear the number 14 shirt for the Lakesiders.
